Have you ever stumbled upon a neopet that caught your eye, only to find that creating one of your own wasn't an option? Fear not, I've arrived to save the day.

There are 11 species of Limited Edition, or LE, pets: Chomby, Cybunny, Draik, Hissi, Jetsam, Kiko, Koi, Krawk, Lutari, Poogle, and Tonu.

All of these pets are available for creation on their 'Day', except for the Krawk and the Draik. (See the Neopets calendar.) Usually about 30,000 – 50,000 of them are released throughout the course of the day each year, and you will have your chance to create one!

The Krawk and Draik, however, are not released on their 'Day'. They need to be specially created, which will be explained later.

Well... What if it's still 8 months away from Kiko Day? Of course, that's a long wait, so you might want to consider taking matters into your own hands.

One of the best ways to get a LE (Limited Edition) pet is to buy an item that will turn your pet into the desired species

If you would like, for instance, a Tonu, head to the Shop Wizard or the Trading Post. Try typing in Yellow Tonu Morphing Potion. Though it is not always the case, Yellow tends to be the cheapest color. However, you should try searching for all 4 basic basic colors (yellow, green, red, and blue) to see which is cheapest or the best option for you to purchase



If you don't mind a mutant pet, search up a Transmogrification Potion. That's a mouthful! A Cybunny Transmogrification Potion will turn your pet into a Mutant Cybunny. They look quite gruesome - in a lovely way, of course.

Another option is a Magical Plushie. If you search for a Magical Yellow Poogle Toy on the trading post, you will often find a few for sale. When you play with your pet using your newly purchased plushie, that pet will turn into a Yellow Poogle and your Plushie will just be a normal old plushie. Take care not to be scammed, only MAGICAL toys or plushies will turn your pet into that species. Also, Poogles are the only ones that are TOYS. All other species are PLUSHIES.

I did mention an alternate way to get a Draik or Krawk, didn't I?
If your looking to own a brand new Krawk, you can go out and buy yourself a Krawk petpet. You can buy it in any color, because your new Krawk will be the same color as the petpet. (A Halloween Krawk petpet will become a Halloween Krawk pet.)

Make sure you have 3 or less pets, or it will not work. Attatch your little petpet to one of your pets, have that pet active, and give the petpet a name that is not taken by any other pet in Neopia. Now, you can head off to the Krawk Island Fungus Caves!



Have your petpet eat some of that yummy fungus. You now have a Krawk!



If a draik is what you're looking for, get ahold of a Draik Egg. One of these shiny, edible little dragon eggs will bring a draik into the world for you. Once you have a Draik Egg, head here. Name your draik, hatch it, and your beautiful new draik will appear in the color of the egg from which it just hatched!



There are two alternatives for those of you who simply don't have the NP to afford one of these pretties. Since you are already on an adoption website, why not go see if any of the pets up for adoption grab your attention?

Lastly, there is always the Pound. This is unreliable, you don't get to pick the name, and could take a long time – but you may just find the pet of your dreams!
